Nadin Younes completed her studies in Biomedical Sciences at Qatar University, achieving an MSc in 2019. Subsequently, she became a member of Dr. Gheyath Nasrallah’s research group at the Biomedical Research Center, Qatar University. Currently pursuing a PhD, Nadin’s research focuses on developing rapid diagnostic tests, specifically lateral flow assays (LFAs), designed for the detection of Norovirus (NoV) and Hepatitis E (HEV). Her work is crucial in addressing foodborne outbreaks in Qatar and beyond, providing accessible, cost-effective diagnostics. Nadin’s noteworthy contributions have garnered recognition, including the prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Middle East Regional Young Talent Award in 2023, and accolades from the 10th Annual Contest for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Graduate Research Award, underscoring her significant role in the scientific community. With a prolific academic record, she has authored over 50 research articles in esteemed journals.
